Temperature and Humidity Tracking
Below are screenshots from my SwitchBot Meter; over 3 days and 30 days. I have installed 3 monitors; one in my office, one in the attic and one in the shed. I primarily use them to monitor and manage humidity as I live in a wet climate.

Size — It's tiny!
The SwitchBot meter features an ultra-portable and small size design—in both sizing dimensions and weight. It measures 4.33 inches long by 1.18 inches wide and 3.35 inches high and weighs only 2.82 ounces. This allows you to comfortably mount the meter anywhere in your home or office.
Thermometer — Celsius or Fahrenheit
You can track the temperature on the clearly lit meter’s LED screen. The screen allows you to view the temperature in two different values. You can opt to use the Celsius or Fahrenheit values—simply choose the value you want on the screen. You can also do the same on the SwitchBot app.
Hygrometer—Measure Relative Humidity
As a hygrometer, the SwitchBot meter measures relative humidity. Similarly, you can readily track the humidity on the LED screen—the temperature reading is positioned at the top whilst humidity is at the bottom. Furthermore, you can track humidity through the SwitchBot app when it is connected to the SwitchBot hub.
History Log—36 Days on Device—Unlimited Cloud
The SwitchBot thermometer & hygrometer is designed to store the most recent data from up to 36 days prior. So, if you want to backtrack your data, you can easily access the information on the app. The data can even be fetched via Bluetooth for local backup. Once the data is uploaded on the app the first time you access it on the app, it is then stored on your app.
On the app, you will get a concise graph with daily/weekly/monthly filters for tracking the change of the temperature and humidity in the last 36 days. You can even export the data you want from the app to CSV for use.
Smartphone App
The smartphone app for the SwitchBot thermometer & hygrometer offers a host of data. In fact, it is the smartphone app that allows you to backtrack data from the most recent 36 days. Furthermore, you can do more with the app when the meter is connected to a smart home hub.
The app allows you to remotely monitor the temperature and humidity where you have set up the SwitchBot meter. To do so, simply open the SwitchBot app and add the meter of choice by pressing and holding the button.
Bluetooth
As mentioned above, the SwitchBot meter is compatible with both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. The meter uses low energy Bluetooth (BLE) connectivity which allows you to save significantly on energy, especially since the meter is battery-powered.
Therefore, it easily shares alerts via Bluetooth when you are nearby. The Bluetooth range covers a 394 feet range when in the line of sight under ideal conditions with no obstructions.
Simple Setup With a Magnetic 3M Fastener
The SwitchBot meter features a simple and easy-to-use setup taking just a few seconds. The SwitchBot meter features a wall mountable design and even comes pre-fixed with a magnetic back to make it easy to quickly and securely mount it anywhere.
The magnetic back is designed in the form of an add-on sticker. The meter also features an upright design to allow for tabletop use if you don’t want to stick it to your walls.
Data Exports
The meter’s best feature is its historical data function, allowing you to backtrack the meter’s data to the most recent 36 days. However, the meter doesn’t only just store the data plainly.
It allows you to do more with it, including exporting it. On its app, you can view the data however it suits you whether it’s through numbers or graphs by viewing it daily, weekly, or monthly. You can even transfer the data to a CSV.
Remote Monitoring & Alerts With the Hub
The SwitchBot thermometer & hygrometer integrates with the Smart SwitchBot Hub Plus/Mini. So, if you want to enjoy real-time temperature and humidity monitoring, you can simply invest in a smart hub.
The SwitchBot hub is enabled to work with Amazon Echo devices, Google Home devices, IFTTT devices, or Apple HomePod. Through the integration, you can voice control and even set up scenarios you want through the connection so the devices can work together.
Battery-Powered
To ensure that you enjoy consistent monitoring, the SwitchBot thermometer is battery-powered, allowing you to easily set it up anywhere in your home or office. Typically, a SwitchBot meter requires 2xAAA batteries to operate.
The batteries generally last for about a year with regular usage before they need changing. The battery changing process is easy—simply open the back cover of the meter, take out the old batteries, insert new ones, and close the back cover.
Smart Home Automation With the Hub
As mentioned above, you can set up a smart home integration using the SwitchBot hub and meter. With smart home automation, you can perform a wide range of other functions and even set up scenes.
For example, if you have a pet reptile in your home, you can program the hub to turn on the AC if the meter indicates the temperature to be over 90 degrees. Additionally, with smart home automation, you can also integrate other processes in your home, for example, checking the temperature using voice control commands.
Wi-Fi Connectivity With the Hub
Whilst the SwitchBot thermometer uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity to communicate in short-range, it uses Wi-Fi for long range connectivity. You can wirelessly connect the SwitchBot meter with the SwitchBot smart hub.
The SwitchBot meter only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity. With Wi-Fi connectivity, you can remotely monitor the temperature and humidity and even set up the scenes you want on your smart hub.
