It sounds like your TCONT602AF22MA Trane thermostat is currently locked in Hold mode, preventing your heat from turning on. It’s usually a case of increasing or decreasing the temperature or pressing Hold again to disable the Hold and and allow your heating system to function normally.

If that doesn’t work, it’s possible the buttons have jammed or the thermostat has glitched and may need to be replaced.

It might be worth bypassing the thermostat to see if that triggers the heat to come on and if so, then you know the thermostat is the problem. There’s a good video here on how to do this (if you are confident with wiring) – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Y_R9unnadI

I have a CONT602AF22MA, 18-HD25D21-2, 18-HD25D21-2, 69-1835-1 And it will not turn on. Currently it is showing a “HOLD” by the inside temperature and my heat has not turned on. It is now 56 degrees in the house. Batteries are new and everything else seems to be working. Any thoughts?

I found an instruction manual on your website for a thermostat model number TCONT800 Series Touch Screen but I did not find an instruction manual for the exact model number that I have.
