I’m having a similar problem with my second gen ring doorbell. One day I removed it to charge it & when I reattached it to its plate I started not receiving any motion notifications. I have owned this item for 2 yrs. I tried all the suggested tips above with no avail. Do you have any other suggestions? Maybe it’s wore out? Would appreciate a response. Thank you.

I’m using a Ring Doorbell (1st Generation) for the back door. Last time I had it off of the mounting plate to change networks, it didn’t make clicking sounds like it use to when I would charge it. The clicking sound was a relay associated with the motion detection. The doorbell and live view work fine in the app, just the motion detection has stopped working. The battery is fully charged. I suspect the motion sense has probably worn out. I’ve checked settings, done hard reset on the device and set it up again, checked signal, tried different things.
I wasn’t going to uninstall and reinstall the Ring app because the front door works fine. It’s a Ring Doorbell 3, no problem with it. I am replacing the 1st Gen Ring with the Ring Doorbell 3 for the back door.

My motion does not work correctly I reset the device several times and motion is still not detected

I have no issue with IOS. Only with android. Please do something to it. Thanks

Ring AUDIO notifications (motion detection) on my Android phone work for only 2-3 days after the below so-called fixes:

Reset the Ring App
Reset my Android phone
Clear the Ring app cache
Delete all my Android notifications

After working OK after the above for 2-3 days, the audio notifications stop completely. The text notifications DO continue to work correctly. I’m certain this NOT a latency problem.

Having to do the above 4-steps ever 2-3 days in NOT a solution and is unacceptable.

Hi, I have followed all above steps but no luck. The door bell works with all my devices & my alexa speakers. No such luck with motion. FYI, it use to work up until about a month ago. Thanks
