Hi,
all of the suggested fixes do not fix anything. I have installed Alexa on 3 different PC and all three complain that there is no internet connection. This is false as I can quite happily hit the web with Chrome and Edge!!! Has Alexa been deprecated for PC?

Add another to this list, it’s one of the biggest with these locks – condensation buildup in the battery pack area which shorts out the electrical components. Hot temps outside coupled with colder temps inside the home creating condensation inside the locks. Google search all the people who have complained about it. I wish it were as easy as the batteries.

Vizio tvs do NOT work without internet connection. You will not be able to even complete the setup without it leaving you with a useless tv .

hi Daniel, I HATE MY NEST THERMOSTAT!!! I know that you did not invent the thing, so please do not take my anger personal. I can NOT get the stupid 2 hour time delay off! I have a C-wire so thats not the problem, I charged the thing fully so thats not the problem, my hvac is less than 2 years old and is a good one so thats not the problem. I dont know what else to do????? I just want my house to be cool for the summer. EVERY TIME i try to use the thermostat to cool down my house it has that dumb delay message!! please help if you can. thank you

Hi Dan
At one time, Leviton and a couple of others made 4 button Zwave controllers and scene switches. They even had 4 button controllers with one button as a local on off switch. Now ? Nothing to be found anywhere. I can’t seem to get an answer from anyone. Even Leviton. I can’t imagine that “NO ONE” can use a multi button controller so I’m thinking it might be a reliability or maybe even a cost issue. (?)
Any comment on this? Anyone?

You could get some kind of mini pc, old laptop, buy a used pc, whatever, and plug it in with HDMI into the TV just like you would a monitor. Get a wireless keyboard and mouse, or setup an xbox controller to control the cursor, or just get a trackball and map an extra button to activate an on screen keyboard. Load Plex up onto the computer however you do that, and then browse your collection from the couch. It would take some legwork and maybe there are tools to help you set it up but just research and take your time, you can do it.

I am in a rental townhome and I have no idea looking at the unit on the wall what model or unit or number that it is?
If I take a picture of it, can I send it to an email or a website and someone can identify this particular thermostat for me so that I can get a manual???

Roku recently modified its ToS. New TVs require you to agree with Roku’s ToS before you can use it…AT ALL. There is no disagree option. Even if you have no intention to use the Roku app. Thus internet is required to use your TV for the first time.

New 3ton heat pump with electric strip. new T4. AC works with no problem. electric heat works no problem. in heat pump mode, it will reach thermostat setting, possibly 1 or 2 degrees above. once this happens the heat pump shuts off… but the indoor fan continues to run. It will run until the temperature drops in the house and the heat turns on again.

I replaced the limit switch from 50-190 to 70-205, still same problem.

one way to stop the fan is simply dropping the thermostat 1 degree. then the whole system will shut off. but once it calls for heat again, it will fall into the continuous cycle again. any idea? possibly a bad T4?

My smart tv lost Wi-Fi connection and I’ve tried to reconnect but to no avail , I’ve done connection reset and turned router off and on but nothing , I’ve lost all smart apps and now don’t know what else to try as tried everything I can see online but nothing works , any help

I have the older Honeywell Vision Pro 8000 TH8321U1006. How do I get in the menu in case I ever want to change some thing in the code like shutting off the recovery or brightening the backlit light. I believe they are coal set up functions such as 0280 for the back light 0530 for adaptive, intelligent recovery, etc. I believe you press system and then hold the third and fifth button until the display changes and then touch the upper down arrow to get to the proper function number or code. Thanking you in advance.

Hi George,

As you’ve already tried resetting from the back (which is the recommended course of action for this model based on the manual here – https://www.luxproducts.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/elv4_faq_en.pdf), my gut feeling is there may be a firmware issue or a hardware malfunction with the thermostat. I recommend contacting Lux support directly as they may be able to help diagnose the problem further or provide a replacement if still under warranty.

Sounds like a nightmare! From looking at the manual, there doesn’t seem to be a way to mute or reduce the volume of the sounds it produces. Might be worth trying to tape over the speaker on the thermostat to muffle the sound a bit.

Hi Lisa

It sounds like your TCONT602AF22MA Trane thermostat is currently locked in Hold mode, preventing your heat from turning on. It’s usually a case of increasing or decreasing the temperature or pressing Hold again to disable the Hold and and allow your heating system to function normally.

If that doesn’t work, it’s possible the buttons have jammed or the thermostat has glitched and may need to be replaced.

It might be worth bypassing the thermostat to see if that triggers the heat to come on and if so, then you know the thermostat is the problem. There’s a good video here on how to do this (if you are confident with wiring) – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Y_R9unnadI
